SilkFlex™ 19Momme Silk High Waist Straight Fit Women's Pants with Back Elastic Waist Design

I originally bought these silk pants because I wanted something comfortable for dinners and occasional events, but somehow they've become part of my regular weekly rotation. The fabric feels cool and smooth against my legs, and there's enough weight in the silk for the pants to hang beautifully without feeling heavy. I also appreciate the elastic waistband more than I expected—after sitting at my desk for hours, nothing digs in or leaves me desperate to change clothes. The pockets are actually useful too, which sounds basic, but women's dress pants somehow don't always manage that! I've worn them with heels and a blouse for dinner, then again with sneakers and a simple sweater for errands. Both combinations worked. The subtle sheen gives even casual outfits a little polish without screaming “dressy.” At this point I'm seriously considering another color because I keep reaching for the same pair every week.

These are beautiful, elegant pants and I really like the overall style, fabric, and fit. Unfortunately, there are two design issues that keep them from being perfect.

The decorative buttons on the pockets are too heavy for the fabric and pull the pockets outward, making them bulge in an unflattering way. I think the pants would look much more polished without the buttons, or with much lighter ones.

The other issue is the length. I’m 5’8”, and these are simply not long enough to wear with heels, which is unfortunate because this style really looks best with a heel. I even took them to a tailor and had the hem let down as much as possible, and they are still too short. They may work beautifully with heels for someone under 5’8”, but for taller women, I would definitely recommend a longer inseam option.

Otherwise, they are very nice pants and I would have loved them if these two details had been designed differently.

Fit is flattering without being tight. High waist adds length to the legs, and the elastic at the back makes them easy to slip on. Love how the fabric moves when I walk—light, flowy, and super chic without trying too hard.
